Project Outcomes

The TROPHY project aims to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship capacities in European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) by equipping students and staff with skills in advanced Web 4.0 technologies. This initiative supports the development of a highly qualified workforce in blockchain, IoT, AI, VR, and cloud computing, aligned with the EIT HEI initiative and European digital strategies.

Outcome 1

New Mechanisms to Support Smart Innovation and Entrepreneurship in HEIs

Approach

TROPHY will establish four local initiatives to activate HEIs and regional innovation ecosystems focused on deep technology fields. The initiatives will be tailored through ecosystem analysis and participatory design to suit local needs while leveraging existing support structures. This creates synergy with EU-level programs and aligns with the EU Strategy on Web 4.0.

Outcome 2

Support for Start-Ups and Spin-Off Companies

Approach

The project will back the creation of at least 40 start-ups and spin-offs by 2030 through technology centers and mentorship. Early post-project years will focus on awareness raising, business incubation, and personalized support, enhancing the digital transformation ecosystem.

Outcome 3

Development and Implementation of Curricula in Deep Technologies

Approach

Partner universities will improve and develop curricula focusing on blockchain, AI, VR, IoT, and related technologies to prepare students and researchers for digital transformation in key sectors. The curricula emphasize practical training and innovation readiness.

Outcome 4
