As Phase 1 of the TROPHY project comes to a phenomenal close, we are incredibly proud to look back at the massive impact and disruptive innovation we’ve achieved together. We didn't just meet our goals—we shattered expectations across both formal and informal education, proving that when academia, industry, and deep tech converge, incredible things happen. 🏆 1. Revolutionizing Formal Higher Education (E-Business Course Innovation)
We proved that modernizing university education doesn't have to wait for long accreditation processes. We completely transformed a mandatory undergraduate E-Business course from within, turning it into an agile, project-based learning powerhouse. Guided by 13 dedicated mentors, a staggering 296 student teams developed and pitched real-world MVPs without a single administrative barrier!
🌍 2. Fostering Global Innovation (Summer School ‘E-Business Technologies 2025’)
Cross-border collaboration at its finest! Our international non-formal program brought together bright young minds from different cultures to tackle GenAI, Web4, and blockchain applications. The result? 10 multinational teams spanning 5 countries working seamlessly in global squads to design next-generation digital products.
⛓️ 3. Launching the Web3 Talent Pipeline (Blockchain Bootcamp 2025)
We immersed hungry-to-learn students into the deep end of Solidity and decentralized application (dApp) development. Through rigorous training and continuous mentorship, 32 standout students mastered smart contracts, culminating in 8 elite teams being sent out to compete and innovate at a major Web3 hackathon.
💼 4. Bridging the Gap with Industry (Lovable Bootcamp x CodeIT)
Through a strategic partnership with CodeIT, we demonstrated how fast academia can adapt directly to market needs. Focusing on no-code and AI-supported web development for rapid prototyping, the bootcamp saw 35 students successfully finish, with 3 exceptional talents securing immediate internships.
🏛️ 5. Securing a Permanent Legacy (NEXT_UMAIA Hub)
We didn't just build temporary training programs; we established structural frameworks for the future. At the University of Maia, we institutionalized innovation by launching NEXT_UMAIA—a permanent ecosystem hub where entrepreneurship, experimentation, and deep tech converge. This structure guarantees that the transformation ignited by TROPHY will empower generations well into the future.
