CERTH/ITI is a leading Greek research center specializing in cutting-edge IT and engineering. It hosts advanced labs for AR/VR, big data analytics, and hardware design. CERTH fosters innovation through spin-offs, patents, and technology transfer activities.
The institute hosts the Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory (VARLab), Visual Analytics Laboratory (VALab), and a dedicated hardware design team. VARLab focuses on immersive educational and industrial AR/VR solutions; VALab develops decision-support, cybersecurity, and healthcare analytics; the hardware team creates embedded systems and IoT devices.
CERTH's infrastructures include the nZEB Smart Home Digital Innovation Hub and Agile 4.0 Cluster for industrial production simulation. The established Technology Transfer Office, SPIRA, manages intellectual property, supports commercialization, and runs an active spin-off portfolio with over 40 patents and 23 spin-offs.
